I am a painter working in acrylics on large scale canvases and intimate wood panels. I studied fine arts at the Escola Panamericana de Arte in São Paulo, a massive and chaotic metropolis in Brazil that became my very first subject. It was there, amid the intense energy of the city, that I discovered the vibrant palette that still defines my work today.
Moving to Indiana changed everything. Surrounded by open skies, still water, and the unhurried rhythm of the Midwest, I discovered what I had been looking for all along: quiet. The chaos gave way to calm, the urban density to open horizons, and the noise to light.
Today, I paint the landscapes that surround me and the quiet moments found in still life. I always begin with light with a simple intention: to paint something that makes people stop, breathe, and feel at peace. When people who see my paintings tell me they feel a sense of calm just looking at them, I feel I have done my job.
